Mexican illustrator whose style tries to create a new space by proposing new layers of shapes and colors. He’s influenced by eclectic fashion, 80s textures, makeup trends and tropical environments characteristic of Mexico, reflecting the part where he was born by applying a warm color palette in his art.
His work ranges from digital to large format, using his illustration to have contact with people in different spaces and creating dialog.
Juxtaposing soft, poignant portraits with abstract shapes or botanical details Totoi’s work often plays with opacity and texture. This interaction of positive and negative space marks her stylistic aesthetic, which develops with each piece.
