Cameron Turnbull, 26, Writer/Director, London. He started his career in short films, two of which were screened on Channel 4’s Random Acts series, and narrative film has always been my long-term focus. In the last few years, Cameron mainly worked in music videos across a range of genres and usually with a tight group of artists. I like working closely with an artist as I think it produces the best collaboration. Music videos have been a great space to develop ideas and unearth a style. I’m obsessed with visuals and carefully crafting the images within my videos.
I couldn’t really put a stamp on myself regarding the genres I go for etc. I’m drawn to evocative work and enjoy being experimental in my videos and films. If it’s dark and strange, there’s a good chance I’ll like it.
