Luna is an illustrator living in South Korea.
At first, I drew animal portraits with colored pencils. Although animals look similar in people’s eyes, if you look closely at their faces, they all have different charms and stories. I drew it like a picture, but I worked with a lot of my thoughts in their appearance and eyes. However, I challenged the illustration because I wanted to draw a picture of me and a cat, and now I am serializing an illustration essay titled Your Presence-To All Cats in the World.
I drew a story that comforts people’s hearts with warm pictures of moments in everyday life that I want to remember. The protagonists of the painting are a girl and a cat. However, if there is anything special, the girl in this story only has eyes. The reason why I draw my eyes is not just a conversation with words, but I just wanted to talk about the essential aspect of communication, making eye contact and sharing my mind. It’s the most lovely and beautiful feeling I’ve ever felt through a cat. It looks like a fairy tale.
The process of drawing the moments we miss in our lives with my own eyes is really happy. In the future, I want to convey comfort to people who are tired with my paintings.
